On 30th September 2023 a fabulous team of circa 50 people came together to walk a large part of the Bollin Valley Way. The route was around 14 miles, and although it started well, half way around the drizzle began, and then for the last hour or so of walking, the rain was coming down thick and fast!
It didn't stop the smiles however, and everyone marched on to get their very well deserved pint at the end of the walk!
All together these wonderful people raised over £4,500!!
We held our first annual bike ride for Freddie’s Sunshine on 11th June 2023. A team of fantastic fundraisers all joined together for a fabulous 25 mile bike ride from Bolton-le-Sands, around Lancaster stopping at Glasson Dock for refreshments and then back again in the beautiful but challenging summer heat!
It was a beautiful day and all together raised over £1,300!
One of the first group fundraising activities that was organised by one of our lovely supporters was a huge 10 mile walk around the Ullswater Way on 20th May 2023. Groups set off from Glenridding and got the steamer to Howtown and began the walk back along the Ullswater Way to Aira Force. It was a beautiful day with the early summer sun coming out to greet us.
